1. Alternative dispute resolution bodies for consumer disputes

In the event of a consumer dispute, the consumer may refer the matter to an alternative dispute resolution body for consumer disputes. List of authorised bodies: Portal do Consumidor (consumer portal) — https://www.consumidor.gov.pt. Centro Nacional de Informação e Arbitragem de Conflitos de Consumo (CNIACC, the national consumer dispute information and arbitration centre) — https://www.cniacc.pt.

2. Abidon Group’s position

Abidon Group is not bound, by adhesion, to any alternative dispute resolution body for consumer disputes. This is without prejudice to the right to bring proceedings before the courts and to the mandatory arbitration regime provided for by law for consumer disputes of low economic value.

Abidon Group is the trading name of DANIEL ABIDON, UNIPESSOAL LDA, NIPC 518608450.

3. Mandatory arbitration

In consumer disputes with a value not exceeding €5,000 (the jurisdictional limit of the courts of first instance), the consumer may, by express choice, submit the dispute to mandatory arbitration at a legally authorised consumer dispute arbitration centre (article 14 of Law no. 24/96 of 31 July, the Portuguese Consumer Protection Law).
